About This Event

Ahead of the 2024 election, the economy is a hot-button issue, with many Americans still concerned about inflation, high consumer prices, and unemployment. The candidates’ proposed economic policies will not only affect Americans’ daily lives but also have global ripple effects. Would either candidate institute further tariff increases as president and touch off another trade war? How might their approach to economic policies shape relations with US trade partners, as well as competitors like China? And what would the effect be on consumers and US companies? Join us for a conversation with Diane Swonk, Heidi Crebo-Rediker, and moderator Karl Friedhoff as we discuss these questions and more.
