About This Event

In June, right-wing parties that pledged to stem the flow of migrants made major gains in the European Parliament, and in July’s British election, the anti-immigrant Reform UK party outperformed expectations. Meanwhile, in the US, record-breaking border crossings and waves of recent arrivals relocating to cities across the country have once again pushed the issue to the forefront of voters’ minds ahead of November. How and why is migration playing an especially important role in this year’s global elections? What is shaping voters’ perceptions of the issue both in the US and abroad? Join the Council for a conversation with Marco López, Andrew Selee, Katie Tobin, and Clifford Young as we discuss these questions and more.
