Tawakkol Karman
President, Women Journalists Without Chains
Tawakkol Karman was awarded the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her nonviolent struggle for the safety of women and their right to full participation peacebuilding process in Yemen. Karman was the first Yemeni, the first Arab woman, and the second Muslim woman to receive this honor, and at 32, was the youngest Nobel Prize Laureates to date.
Adil Najam
Dean, Pardee School of Global Studies, Boston University
Adil Najam is a co-author for the Third and Fourth Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; work for which the scientific panel was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for advancing the public understanding of climate change science.
Muhammad Yunus
Chairman, Yunus Centre Grameen Bank
Muhammad Yunus is a Nobel Laureate, the father of both social business and microcredit, the founder of Grameen Bank, and of more than 50 other companies in Bangladesh. In March 2012, Fortune Magazine named Professor Yunus "one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time."
CEO, Chicago Council on Global Affairs
Ivo H. Daalder served as the US ambassador to NATO from 2009 to 2013. He joined the Council as president in 2013 and took on the new role of CEO in 2023. Previously, he was a senior fellow in foreign policy studies at the Brookings Institution and served as director for European affairs on President Bill Clinton’s National Security Council. He is the author or editor of 10 books.
