Exclusive Council Update for President's Club Members
About This Event
In November, Americans will cast their ballots to determine the future direction of US foreign policy and the reputation of the United States abroad as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to tear through the country.
Please join the Chicago Council on Global Affairs via Zoom for a private briefing with Council President Ivo Daalder for an overview of current global issues amid the pandemic and how the Council is impacted. In addition, senior fellow Dina Smeltz will share findings from the 2020 Chicago Council Survey of American public opinion and US foreign policy. The Survey reveals that while Republicans believe one of the lessons learned from the pandemic experience is national economic self-sufficiency, Democrats believe the United States needs to cooperate more with other countries and that the supply and production of goods should be distributed among many different countries.
