Raghuram Rajan

Raghuram Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He served as the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India from September 2013 to September 2016 and was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund from 2003 to 2006. Dr. Rajan’s research focuses on banking, corporate finance, and economic development, and he has published a number of books, including Breaking the Mold: Reimagining India's Economic Future with Rohit Lamba, The Third Pillar: How Markets and the State Leave the Community Behind, and Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten the World Economy, for which he was awarded the Financial Times prize for Business Book of the Year in 2010.
