Peter Mandelson

Peter Mandelson assumed the role of UK Ambassador to the United States in February 2025, following his appointment in December 2024. Previously, he held senior government positions including First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills under Gordon Brown from 2008 to 2010. He also served as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 1999 to 2001 and Secretary of State for Business and Trade in 1998 under Tony Blair. From 2004 to 2008, Mandelson served as European Commissioner for Trade, and he is the co-founder of Global Counsel, a global public policy advisory firm.
