About This Event

How resilient is Chicago? What is the city doing to prepare for acute shocks such as the recent polar vortex, as well as everyday stresses like climate change, inequality, and aging infrastructure? In the works since Chicago joined the 100 Resilient Cities global network in 2016, Resilient Chicago is the city’s roadmap for a resilient future. Developed with a steering committee of key stakeholders and incorporating hundreds of community leaders, Chicago’s vision for a more resilient and connected city is organized into three pillars: strong neighborhoods, robust infrastructure, and prepared communities. The city will highlight one of its first steps in bringing this vision to life by committing to an equitable 100 percent clean energy transition for Chicago and all its residents.
