Ian Bremmer on Geopolitical Risk in 2020
Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer joined Council President Ivo Daalder for a video conversation on the key global risks of 2020 and the deepening impact of COVID-19.
About This Event
In January, the political risk consultancy Eurasia Group predicted that 2020 would be a historic tipping point as a number of trends converged: the weakening of the United States' global leadership; the rise of an alternative Chinese economic, technological, and political model; and a reversal of globalization. In this fragile political and economic environment—compounded by a precarious presidential election in the US—will the sudden shock of the coronavirus pandemic accelerate these destabilizing trends? Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer joins Council President Ivo Daalder for a video conversation on the key global risks of 2020 and the deepening impact of COVID-19.
