A Healthy People and Planet: From Action to Change
Anthropologist Eduardo S. Brondizio, Professor Esther Ngumbi, and journalist Tatiana Schlossberg discussed what we can do to make a difference in our planetary health.
About This Event
The management of natural resources is critical for planetary health—an emerging discipline focused on understanding the inextricable links between our environment and health. Deforestation, erosion, water scarcity, and climate change are just some of the mounting factors impacting our planet, and in turn, human health. Several scientific and multilateral reports this year have called for immediate action to implement policies and shift individual habits before it's too late. What can we as individuals do to make a difference and does it ultimately matter?
