Rajiv Shah is the president of The Rockefeller Foundation, which seeks to promote humanity’s well-being around the world. Previously, he served as the administrator of USAID, where he secured bipartisan support for the Global Food Security Act and Electrify Africa Act, led the US response to the Haiti earthquake and West African Ebola pandemic, and served on the National Security Council. Before that, Shah was the chief scientist and undersecretary for research, education, and economics at the US Department of Agriculture. Shah is the founder of Latitude Capital, a private equity firm focused on power and infrastructure in Africa and Asia, and he created the International Financing Facility for Immunization at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
