Mónica Pinto
Professor Emerita of International Law and of International Human Rights Law
Mónica Pinto is a Professor Emerita of International Law and of International Human Rights Law at the University of Buenos Aires/UBA Law School where she served as Dean from 2010 to 2018. Monica serves as a member of the governing board of the Inter-American Institute on Human Rights in San José; she is commissioner at the International Commission of Jurists in Geneva, and she sits at the Assembly of the Foundation René Cassin in Strasbourg. She is also an Ad Hoc Judge at the International Court of Justice, a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and a member of the Committee of Experts on the Application of ILO Conventions and Recommendations. Monica has held several mandates for the UN in the area of human rights and has published five books.
