Lloyd Blankfein

Lloyd Blankfein is senior chairman of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and served as the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer from 2006 through 2018. After working as an attorney, Blankfein joined the J. Aron Currency and Commodities Division of Goldman Sachs in 1982, eventually becoming the vice chairman of Goldman Sachs in 2002 before assuming the role of president and chief operating officer in 2003. Blankfein is a member of several Harvard advisory boards, the Executive Committee of the UJA Federation of New York, a Board Fellow of Weill Cornell Medical College, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is the author of Streetwise: Getting to and Through Goldman Sachs (2026).
