Councillor Kye Dudd is Bristol’s cabinet member for Climate, Ecology, Energy, and Waste. He was appointed to the cabinet by Mayor Marvin Rees following his election as Labour Councillor for Southmead in February 2022.

He leads on the £1 billion City Leap clean energy investment program and working with the council-owned Bristol Waste Company, including building a new Household Reuse and Recycling Centre.

Dudd has almost two decades of experience as a trade union official in the postal industry, leading local and national negotiations as a former member of the Communications Workers Union National Executive Committee. He is currently a consultant at a local youth charity.

Dudd has previously held executive responsibility for Transport and Regulatory Services in the city, and represented Central Bristol from 2016 – 2021.
