Kristina Costa is managing director of policy and strategic engagement at the University of Chicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. She brings fifteen years of experience working on energy and climate policy in Washington, DC. Most recently, she was deputy assistant to the president and director of the White House Office of Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation, overseeing implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act's climate provisions. Previously, Costa advised Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and served in the Obama administration as policy advisor to John Podesta and Brian Deese, focusing on implementation of the president's Climate Action Plan.
