Joni Ernst

Joni Ernst is a United States Senator from Iowa, previously having served in the military for over 23 years. She was elected as the first woman to serve in federal elected office from the state of Iowa and was the first female combat veteran elected to serve in the US Senate. The Senator serves on four Senate committees: Armed Services; Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry; Environment and Public Works; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship. On the Armed Services Committee, Ernst serves as the top Republican on the Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee.
