Elena Lazarou

Elena Lazarou is director general of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, specializing in European Union foreign policy, geopolitics, transatlantic relations, and security. With over 20 years' experience, she previously led the External Policies Unit at the European Parliament Research Service. She has served on the G20 Think 20 group, the Council of Councils of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the advisory board of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil. She is senior advisor at the European Policy Centre and a member of the Armament Industry European Research Group Scientific Committee. She publishes extensively and contributes regularly to Greek and foreign media.
