Debi Jin

Debi Jin joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2025 as an intern for the public opinion and US foreign policy team. She completed her B.A. in Sociology and Media Studies at the University of Toronto in 2024 and will complete her Master of Social Work at the University of Chicago in 2026, specializing in Global Health and Social Development.

Prior to joining the Council, Jin was an intern at the Corporation for Supportive Housing, where she analyzed transitional housing survey data and reviewed housing applications for Illinois' Statewide Referral Network. Her special interest is in decolonizing research and broadening approaches to knowledge production in social policy and practice.
