Anita Adalja

Anita Adalja is in her 13th season farming vegetables. She has worked on non-profit, for-profit, urban and rural farms in Pennsylvania, Virginia, California, Washington, D.C., and New Mexico. Before farming, Adalja trained and worked as a social worker in New York City. Adalja's heart is focused on safety, dignity and financial security for farmworkers. They are the founder of Not Our Farm, a farm worker storytelling project, and are a co-farmer at Ashokra Farm, a Queer and Trans BIPOC farming collective in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
