About This Event

In recent years, questions about the credibility of the US nuclear guarantee have re-emerged, leading to debates among some US allies about potential alternatives to US extended deterrence. How is this debate playing out in Europe, particularly in America's key ally Germany, and might the election of President Biden alter the outcome? What is at stake in terms of Europe's security. This event is being hosted by the Hertie School in Berlin, in partnership with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
