About This Event
Please join us for a special screening of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with the Ploughshares Fund's Sara Kutchesfahani, DePaul Humanities Center director Yuki Miyamoto, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Stephen I. Schwartz. The panel will be moderated by Saira Chambers, executive director of the Japanese Arts Foundation and director of the Japanese Culture Center, with welcoming remarks from Bulletin President and CEO Rachel Bronson.
This event is hosted by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, in partnership with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and other local organizations.

About the Speakers
Sara Kutchesfahani

With close to 20 years of professional and academic experience in the fields of nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security, Sara Kutchesfahani has held positions at a national nuclear weapons laboratory, as well as NGOs, universities, and various think tanks around the world.
Yuki Miyamoto
Peace Ambassador to Hiroshima and Director of DePaul Humanities Center
Yuki Miyamoto is an ethicist whose work centers on nuclear discourse and environmental ethics through the framework of comparative ethics.
Stephen I. Schwartz
Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists
Stephen I. Schwartz analyzes, writes, and speaks publicly about the history and costs of US nuclear weapons and weapons-related programs.
Saira Chambers
Director of the Japanese Culture Center and Executive Director of the Japanese Arts Foundation
Saira Chambers is a curator, educator, producer, and curriculum developer. An advocate for nuclear nonproliferation, she has worked with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on various projects.
Lester Crown Senior Nonresident Fellow, Energy and Geopolitics
Rachel Bronson is a senior advisor at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, having previously served as president and CEO, overseeing programming, communications, and the iconic Doomsday Clock. Before that, Bronson served as vice president of studies at the Council and as a senior fellow and director of Middle East studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, among other roles.
