Meredith Burlew is the director of grants at The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million community leaders united in providing community service. Its foundation funds sustainable projects that improve health, provide quality education, and alleviate poverty. In her role, Burlew is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Rotary’s grant programs in over 140 countries.

After graduating from Miami University from the Farmer School of Business, Burlew worked in banking but felt called to a more mission-driven career. Beginning with Rotary as a grant coordinator in East Asia, Pacific region, she quickly advanced to supervising the pilot project for the foundation’s new grantmaking strategy. After managing Rotary’s stewardship and compliance team, she returned to grant management as the director of grants. In this role, she is committed to developing a diverse team supporting Rotary grantees in designing and implementing locally-driven, results-oriented projects that value learning and continuous improvement.

Burlew volunteers with Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) and supports animal rescue through fostering with One Tail at a Time. In addition to supporting a global community, she is an avid White Sox fan and season ticket holder.
