Matt Meltzer is a co-founder and partner at Meltzer Hellrung, a business immigration law firm. In his capacity as an attorney, he advises corporate clients, ranging from individual entrepreneurs to large multinational corporations, on securing visas for foreign employees in the U.S. and around the world. He helps companies devise immigration programs to efficiently and effectively attract and retain foreign talent.
As an executive at the firm, Meltzer has helped grow the business from two attorneys to 25 staff in seven years. Meltzer Hellrung has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in both 2020 and 2021. He oversees the finance, HR, and legal services operations of the firm. In addition, he has worked in tandem with his business partner to launch a new immigration management platform, Voyager, to provide a seamless and transparent experience to clients.
Meltzer is active in the Chicago community as a member of Anshe Emet in Lakeview. He advises foreign entrepreneurs at the Polsky Center at the University of Chicago. He is also active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where he has served on both local Chicago and national committees.
Meltzer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from Boston College Law School.
