Intern: Global Leadership Programs
This intern will work on a team that develops and implements the year-long curriculum for the Council's Global Leadership Program.
This internship will be hybrid (mostly virtual with some in-person days). Preference will be given to applicants who are able to be in our Prudential Plaza office on Mondays, whether in full or in part. Please note: the Council is currently unable to pay interns, and this internship will be unpaid.
The Global Leadership Programs team develops Chicago's next generations of globally engaged leaders. Our primary foci are:
- The Emerging Leaders Program is the Council's signature global leadership development program. A cohort of 20 mid-career (ages 30-45) professionals deepens their fluency in global affairs and US foreign policy and refines their thought leadership skills through a year-long curricular program. The GLP team develops and implements the curriculum, manages learning assessments, engages alumni, and drives recruitment and brand visibility efforts.
- The Young Professionals Network convenes and connects young people (ages 21-35) in Chicago and beyond through special events and gatherings, online community discussions, and access to (forthcoming) professional development programming.
- The Hart Fellowship supports the global leadership development of an accomplished, ambitious, globally curious mid-career (age 30-45) citizen from a Latin American country. The opportunity enhances the Fellow's individual knowledge and skills and strengthens connections between Latin America and Chicago.
