Zaher Sahloul

Zaher Sahloul is the president of MedGlobal, a nonprofit organization that delivers crucial healthcare to populations affected by crisis and poverty worldwide. A physician dedicated to providing medical and humanitarian aid to those in need, Dr. Sahloul has led medical missions to Syria, Ukraine, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Gaza, Yemen, and Bangladesh. He is also a critical care specialist and associate professor in clinical medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and previously served as president of the Syrian American Medical Society. Dr. Sahloul has received numerous awards for his work, including the Gandhi Award for Peace, the “Heroes Among Us” award from the American Red Cross, and UNICEF Chicago’s annual humanitarian award.
