Rachael Mizuno
Former Director, Next Generation
Rachael Mizuno currently serves as the director of next generation at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Mizuno joined the Council in 2015 and is responsible for the Emerging Leaders and Young Professional programs. Additionally, she is expanding the Council's engagement with high school teachers and students through the Koldyke Teachers Program. Prior to joining the Council, Mizuno was the director of volunteer and community partnerships at the US Fund for UNICEF, where she created national programs and supported over 74,000 volunteers. Mizuno spent close to ten years building the number of active high school and college clubs working on behalf of UNICEF in their communities. Prior to that she was director of programs at Lift, formerly National Student Partnerships. Mizuno worked for the YMCA in Tijuana, Mexico, and served on the National Board of Y-USA from 2008-2012. She is two-time AmeriCorps alumnae. Mizuno has a BA from the University of Minnesota and is a 2005 graduate of the Institute of Nonprofit Management Executive Program at Columbia University Business School.
