Philippe Étienne

Philippe Étienne serves as the ambassador of France to the United States. He previously held numerous posts, including Permanent Representative of France to the European Union, Ambassadorships to Romania and Germany and other key posts in Moscow, Belgrade, Bucharest, Bonn. Prior to his nomination to the United States, Ambassador Etienne was President Emmanuel Macron’s Diplomatic Advisor and Sherpa from 2017 to 2019.
