In 1983, after working as a correspondent for Reuters in Brussels, Philip Stephens joined the Financial Times where he served as the economics, political, and UK edition editor, then currently as a contributing editor. He won the David Watt Prize for Outstanding Political Journalism, Political Journalist of the Year by the UK Political Studies Association, and Political Journalist of the Year in the British Press Awards.
