Lyric Thompson is the founder and CEO of the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative, where she leads the initiative’s development and the execution of strategy, helps form evidence-based policy recommendations, and convenes critical conversations that foster learning and innovation in this growing field. Throughout her career, she has advocated for women’s rights issues at the United Nations, G7/G20, White House, the US State Department, USAID, and the Department of Defense. She is an adjunct professor at George Washington University, where she teaches a graduate-level course on women’s rights advocacy. Thompson writes regularly on gender and foreign policy for outlets such as the New York Times, Foreign Policy, and Devex.
