Kyle Lynaugh

Kyle Lynaugh joined the Council in January of 2022 as a spring intern with the Public Opinion team. Kyle is originally from Carlsbad, California and recently relocated to Chicago. He is currently a graduate student at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, studying public policy while focusing on global conflict and policy analysis. He received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he majored in economics and minored in political science. While studying at LMU, Kyle interned for the U.S. Department of State, where he found his passion for U.S. foreign affairs. He is interested in international security and its relation to economic stability and development. Kyle loves to explore Chicago’s diverse food scene and is looking for a new favorite Mexican restaurant.
