Jade McGlynn

Dr. Jade McGlynn is a research fellow at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. She received her DPhil on the political uses of the past in Russian domestic and foreign policy from the University of Oxford. She is the author of two books, Russia's War (Polity) and Memory Makers: The Politics of the Past in Putin's Russia (Bloomsbury). Her research focuses on Russian state-society relations, memory politics, propaganda, and Russia's war on Ukraine since 2014. Her journalism and expert commentary on all things Russia have been featured in a wide variety of international media outlets, from CNN to the New York Times. She is a frequent contributor to BBC, Deutsche Welle, the Telegraph, and the Spectator.
