David Sanger is a White House and national security correspondent at the New York Times. One of the longest-serving correspondents at the publication, he covered Silicon Valley's early days, was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team that investigated the Challenger disaster, and worked as a foreign correspondent and bureau chief in Japan for six years. In Washington, Sanger has covered five presidents, from Clinton to Biden, and contributed to Pulitzer Prize-winning stories, including the investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election. Sanger is the author of several books, including "The Perfect Weapon: War, Sabotage, and Fear in the Cyber Age," which was adapted into an HBO documentary.
