Colin Kahl

Colin Kahl is the Steven C.Házy Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International studies. He is also faculty director of the Program on Geopolitics, Technology, and Governance. From 2021 to 2023, he served as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, where he shaped US national security and defense strategy and advised on global crises, including China and the Middle East.
