About This Event

The relationship between the United States and India has never been an easy one, but over the past two decades, India has become better integrated into the US-led effort to compete with China and check its growing influence. US President Donald Trump’s levying of tariffs on India over their purchase of Russian oil has sparked a deep re-think in India about its relations with the US, China, and how to best pursue its interests. How India now sees its next steps will have important and lasting implications for the future of the region and the US, as Paul Staniland and Karl Friedhoff explore in this roundtable discussion.

This event is invite-only and will take place at the Council's Conference Center. Invites are non-transferable. If you have any questions, please reach out to info@globalaffairs.org.
