About This Event

Economic warfare has emerged as a pivotal tool with sanctions, tariffs, and export controls reshaping global competition. From US measures against Russia, China, and Iran to President Trump threatening US allies and partners with tariffs, how is economic coercion evolving? Are these tactics effective, and what are their unintended consequences? As other nations counteract these measures, what are the broader economic and geopolitical implications, and how might this redefine global alliances? Join us for a conversation with Edward Fishman and Tom Wyler as we examine the shifting landscape of economic statecraft and its impact.

Edward Fishman’s book, “Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare,” will be available for sale and signing after the program.
