Amiel B. Harper, Esq. is the founder & principal of the Morpheus Consultancy, LLC. The Morpheus Consultancy was founded in 2017 out of a need for authentic and accessible strategic advisory services. Harper left a successful career serving as a business leader in some of the world’s largest public and private companies working on strategy, branding, business development, innovation, and leadership.
Harper brings over a decade of professional advisory experience across industries. He served as an advisor to two Illinois governors and many C-suite executives in addition to extensive service to academic, corporate, political, government, philanthropic, and entrepreneurial organizations. Recognized as a “Game Changer” by Ariel Investments, WOKE Business Services Entrepreneur of the Year by the Chicago Urban League, and Junior Counsel of the Year by the Cook County Bar Association, Harper has also received numerous leadership awards from prestigious institutions including the University of Virginia, Washington University in St. Louis, Financial Management Honor Society, and Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Harper has conducted numerous seminars, workshops, trainings, and presentations to diverse audiences, ranging from small and intimate interactive group settings for C-suite executives to his TEDx talk, “Foundations for Facing Fear” broadcast to thousands. He has provided training, consulting, organizational development, and strategic advising for companies covering six continents and over 90 cities. He provides his knowledge, wisdom, and experiences to the benefit of executives, civic and political leaders, and students, focusing on their capacity building. Harper’s speaking engagements have been robust, covering leadership, diversity, inclusion, culture, mentoring, networking, entrepreneurship, sales, business development, operations, branding, and many others.
His educational achievements include a master’s in business administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from Bradley University. He is a fellow of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management and the University of Chicago’s IMPACT Leadership Development program in partnership with the Chicago Urban League. His entrepreneurial and corporate career includes strategy, branding, and management roles with Proctor & Gamble, Mars-Wrigley, Tyson Foods, and Merrill Lynch. He also serves as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Lewis University.
Harper’s commitment to service and education is evidenced by his service with 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc., the Gray Matter Experience, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the Cook County Bar Association, Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives Microfinance Group, and the Business Leadership Council.
With all of his professional and civic commitments, Harper is happiest being a devoted father to his son, Ariel.
