Rania Boukari

Rania Boukari joined the Council as an intern with the Public Opinion team in June 2023. Prior to joining the Council, Boukari worked as a research assistant for the Private Peace and Enterprise Lab at Loyola University Chicago. Her work focused on how civil wars and urban violence can be fueled by deep social and economic problems. She also interned at Urgent Action Fund Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, where she analyzed and reported data on women’s human rights in different African regions as part of the Knowledge Leadership team. Currently, Boukari is a graduate student at Loyola University, pursuing an M.A. in International Affairs. She completed her bachelor’s degree in international relations at Florida International University, where she was actively involved in 11 different organizations, including Model United Nations and United Nations Academic Impact Millennium Fellowship, which highlighted her passion for human rights and foreign policy. Boukari aspires to remain within the field of International Affairs and continue to expand her reach in the field as well as a positive impact.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring Chicago and neighboring cities, trying out new foods, and staying up to date on current events.
