Katrina Ferreyra
Vice President, Development
Katrina Ferreyra joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2026 as vice president for development, bringing more than two decades of experience in advancement and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, she served as chief development officer at After School Matters, where she led development and a successful $32 million capital campaign that exceeded its original goal and secured resources for a new building and to support the organization's long-term impact. She has expertise in major gifts, institutional partnerships, campaign strategy, supporting boards, and building high-performing development teams.
Previously, Ferreyra held senior advancement roles at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and at the International School Nido de Aguilas in Santiago, Chile, where she led fundraising and external affairs. Her work has consistently focused on building strong teams and engaging communities to align philanthropic investment with mission-driven organizations. Ferreyra holds a bachelor's degree in public policy studies and Russian language from Duke University, a master's in international studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a certificate in school management and leadership from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School.
