Vanessa Audemard d'Alançon serves as regional expert for the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs at the Embassy of France in Washington, DC, where she specializes on the implementation of policies on information integrity and the countering of information manipulation. Her work focuses on engagement and capacity-building for monitoring the information space and responding strategically to information threats. In 2025, she contributed to a parliamentary inquiry led by the Foreign Affairs Commission of the French National Assembly examining the emergence of artificial intelligence in foreign interference.
Her previous experience spans technology and operational risk analysis in the private sector in London and Singapore and in the development sector in East Africa. She also conducted China-focused research at the Overseas Development Institute. She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a certificate in AI Technology, Policy and Governance from the Diplo Academy. She speaks French, English, Chinese, German, and Spanish.
