Jake Sullivan
Former Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs

Jake Sullivan served as national security advisor during the Biden administration from January 2021 to January 2025. Previously, he was a senior policy advisor to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and served as her deputy chief of staff when she was secretary of state. Sullivan also worked as national security advisor during the Obama administration to then Vice President Biden. He has played key roles in a number of diplomatic initiatives throughout his career and holds a BA in political science and international studies from Yale College; an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar; and a JD from Yale Law School.
