Edward Luce serves as the US national editor and columnist at the Financial Times. His previous roles at FT include Washington bureau chief, South Asia bureau chief, capital markets editor, and Philippines correspondent. Before joining the FT, Luce worked as a speechwriter for US Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers during the Clinton administration. A prolific author, Luce has written several acclaimed books, including his latest, Zbig: The Life of Zbigniew Brzezinski, America's Great Power Prophet. Luce is a frequent media commentator, appearing regularly on CNN, NPR, MSNBC's Morning Joe, and the BBC. Together with his colleague Rana Foroohar, he also co-authors the Swamp Notes newsletter, examining the intersection of money, power, and politics in America.
