Bernard Koh joined JPMorgan Chase in June 2015. He has over 35 years of international working experience. He is a senior relationship executive responsible for managing US subsidiaries of parent companies, primarily domiciled in Asia and Australia.
Bernard started his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Singapore in 1987, and moved with the bank to Amsterdam in 1993 and to New York in 1994 holding different responsibilities in multinational banking, trade finance, regional loan syndications and risk management. In New York, he helped ABN AMRO Bank set up the infrastructure for national coverage on US subsidiaries of Asian companies as part of the bank’s global network coverage. He travelled extensively to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and Switzerland. Subsequently in 1999, he joined the bank’s asset-backed commercial paper conduit securitization team based in Chicago responsible for securitizing receivables of domestic and international originating companies.
In 2008 ABN AMRO Bank became part of Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2013, Bernard assumed responsibilities as a Senior Trade Finance Advisor, Supply Chain Finance until 2015.
In 2015, Bernard joined J.P. Morgan Chase in Chicago, to be part of the Multinational Corporations Group, a national team of specialized resources dedicated to support this market segment. He is a senior relationship executive responsible for managing corporate clients in Illinois and Indiana as well as select international clients with presence throughout the US and Canada.
Bernard is also a Director on the Japan America Society of Chicago and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago; and participates in the China General Chamber of Commerce USA – Chicago.
