Nomalanga Sheilds
Associate, Anti-Hunger and Mobile Voting Campaigns, Tusk Philanthropy
Nomalanga (Noma) Sheilds serves as the associate for Tusk Philanthropies' anti-hunger and mobile voting campaigns. She primarily focuses on managing aspects of the campaigns and also evaluates proposals, creates presentations and talking points, keeps accurate records, identifies key stakeholders, and conducts research. Prior to joining Tusk, Sheilds worked at various nonprofits and served as a philanthropic partnerships associate for The Noble Network of Charter Schools where she supported fundraising and grant-writing efforts for Noble's 17 charter school campuses across Chicago. Additionally, after completing her BA, she embarked on the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to study housing advocacy and traveled across 11 countries. Sheilds holds a BA in sociology from Grinnell College and is currently based out of Tusk's Chicago office.
