About This Event

After two years of bloodshed, an end to the war in Gaza may be in sight. Israel and Hamas yesterday agreed to a ceasefire deal that would allow for the release of the remaining Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The agreement, brokered by the United States along with Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, represents the first phase of President Donald Trump’s plan to end the conflict. Still, the pathway to a lasting peace is paved with potential roadblocks. Will Hamas agree to disarm, and will Israel pull back its forces? How will Gaza be rebuilt, and who will govern the enclave? What does this mean for the push for Palestinian statehood?

Join us for a conversation with Daniel Byman, Sanam Vakil, and Leslie Vinjamuri as they discuss these questions and more in a rapid response live stream.
