About This Event

Mark Linscott, Senior Advisor at USISPF and former Assistant US Trade Representative, will join senior business leaders from across Chicago for a candid discussion on the evolving dynamics of US-India trade negotiations amid recent developments, and the implications of a potential bilateral trade agreement as well as emerging investment opportunities in India. Linscott will share insights on the trajectory of negotiations, the current holdup, and its implications for industry and bilateral relations. The session will be moderated by Shoba Pillay, Partner at Jenner & Block. We are also honored to welcome Ambassador Somnath Ghosh, Consul General of India, who will deliver a special address.

A career diplomat, Ambassador Somnath Ghosh joined the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 1997. In a span of his career over 26 years, he has been Ambassador of India to Republic of Tajikistan (2016-19) and to Mongolia (2014-16). He currently serves as Consul General of India in Chicago.
