Guidelines for Q&A
The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is an independent, nonpartisan organization that provides a platform for a variety of different voices to promote deeper global understanding and active US engagement in the world. The views expressed by individuals on our platforms are their own and do not represent the institutional positions or views of the Council.
The Council utilizes several third-party engagement platforms, including MeetingPulse, YouTube, Facebook Live, and others, in order inspire insightful, active, and civil discussions among Council speakers, event attendees, and livestream viewers. To this end, please make sure statements and questions are considerate and courteous in tone and fact-based.
The Council has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor submissions, and we may remove content we deem inappropriate for any reason without consent at any time, with or without notice. We may remove statements and questions that include profanity, hate speech, name-calling, personal attacks, or language we deem inflammatory, as well as submissions of excessive length.
For MeetingPulse specifically, we do not guarantee that questions posted will be asked by the program moderator. The Q&A time is limited and the event moderator may select questions in no particular order.
