Molly Jirgal
Program Officer, Global Leadership Programs
Molly Jirgal is the program officer for global leadership programs at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where she provides support for the Emerging Leaders (EL) Program and assists with next-generation engagement, recruitment, and alumni relations. She initially joined the Council in 2024 as a program officer for the EL Program. Prior to this, Jirgal studied human rights in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she researched the intersections of religion, authoritarianism, and political violence.
Jirgal holds a BA in politics from Sewanee: The University of the South. She has professional working proficiency in Spanish and reading proficiency in Portuguese.
