This internship is hybrid; 10 hours per week with a minimum of 50 percent of those hours in-office, preferably Mon/Thurs

This internship will primarily provide research support to the president and CEO of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. The internship begins February 1 and concludes April 30. The Intern(s) will report directly to the chief of staff of the president. Up to two internship positions may be available with a $2,500 stipend.

This intern performs a variety of tasks, including:

  • Compile and edit research and writing
  • Contribute to the daily administrative tasks that support the president’s research agenda
  • Assist the chief of staff with projects across the organization, including programming, communications, and global leadership
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate junior or senior or graduate student
  • Strong research, editing, and writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of international affairs
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Consistent, conscientious attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task with quick turnaround times
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in study related to China, security, energy, or the Global South
