Paul Fitchen
Intern
Paul Fitchen joined the Council in January 2023 as an intern with the public opinion team at the Lester Crown Center. Originally from Houston, Texas, he is a senior at Loyola Marymount University, where he majors in International Relations and minors in Global Economics. A proud third-culture kid, his fascination with global affairs developed over the course of his 11 years abroad in Oman, Libya, and Italy, blossoming into a rich interest in foreign policy and international political economy. Prior to joining the Council, Fitchen interned at the US Embassy in Muscat, Oman, the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, and most recently at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In his free time, he enjoys going on long walks, listening to podcasts, traveling whenever possible, and supporting his hometown Houston Rockets team through a difficult rebuilding period.
