Kyriakos Mitsotakis was sworn in as Prime Minister of Greece in July 2019 and reelected in June 2023. He has been the president of the New Democracy party since January 2016. From June 2013 to January 2015, Mitsotakis served as Minister of Administrative Reform and e-Government. Previously, he served in Greece’s Parliament, where he participated in a number of committees, including the Committee for Constitutional Amendment, the Committee for Trade, and the Committee for National Defense. He also served as Chairman of the Environment Committee between 2007 and 2009, becoming shadow-minister for the environment and climate change for New Democracy until 2012, and was an active member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Before entering politics, Mitsotakis worked in the private sector as a financial analyst with Chase, a consultant with McKinsey and Company, and as CEO of NBG Venture Capital at the National Bank of Greece.
