David J. Vitale

David Vitale is one of Chicago's most distinguished business and civic leaders, with a career spanning banking, education, public service, and philanthropy. He served as chairman of several Duff & Phelps closed-end funds, vice chairman and director of Bank One Corporation, president and chief executive officer of the Chicago Board of Trade, chairman of Urban Partnership Bank, and president of the Chicago Board of Education. A member of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs Board since 2001, he currently serves on its Executive Committee and the Development, Finance, and Next Generation Committees, while continuing his leadership on the Boards of many of Chicago's leading civic and cultural institutions. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to strengthening institutions, expanding opportunity, and serving the public good.
